After a long and painful wait the Skullcandy collaboration with the NBA has hit UK soil. Back when I was 12-14 (’93-’95) I was well into basketball, this was a time when you couldn’t even get an orange basketball in town, you had to order them from one of the magazines and had to stay up until 4am to catch a match on the TV. I also got  into skating at the same time and split my time equally between both of my very cool pastimes, in the end I decided to go the skate route (a pretty good decision cause I stopped growing when I hit 5’9), check out the video below (I did NOT choose the song!)  where you can see me skating in my Nike b-ball vest, during the crossover ‘which path should I follow’ phase.

Yo! Here is a ten minute interview with Tony Hawk, I haven’t got time to watch it today so have a look and if it’s good tell me in the comments and I’ll bump something off my to-do list so that I can watch it in the week…

This weekend I will be getting a train up to Bristol, going to get my photo taken, then riding my bike all day before going to see Why? at The Thekla. I will then sleep over at Jason’s pad before cycling from Bristol to Cardiff on Sunday morning, riding around with Paul then meeting up with Kerry and Owen to go and see Until the Light Takes Us. FUN PACKED! All this is dependent on the rain though :-(

Ladies Monthly is a new monthly event that has been set up with the intention of getting female skaters in the UK to “meet up, skate new places together, have a laugh and push the standard”. Below is the video from the first session which took place in Manchester recently.

The next event is in London on Saturday 27th March and will surely be an absolute banger! I wish I was a skater girl, haha.
